Conceived as a floating port, the sovereign structure drifts through the Pacific Ocean as a "Free Trade Zone". Airport, concourse, storage and shipping levels. The traditional park within the city, as a mode of leisure, is in some ways being replaced by a mix of commercial space, transportation and tourism. The widespread coupling of “Economic Trade Zones” and offshore developments with eco-tourism is no accident. The results of this re-organization are new types of publicly accessible “markets”. Mapping these territorial expansions and programmatic trends, is critical in relation to the speed at which these massive changes are taking place.
